To obtain a position with a forward thinking company where I can fully apply my knowledge and experience as a designer.
Manage and direct all creative for projects which I was assigned to. Working closely with the client to asses the needs of their project and to understand the overall mood and personality of the brand. My actual work moves from information architecture by building out proposed site maps and wire frames to designing full site comps and occasionally creating flash elements. All while closely communicating with project managers, producers, developers and clients.
Full flash application and web portal for one of Trait’s clients, as well as smaller flash pieces and banner ad’s.
Print production duties for the most part; Re-sizing ad’s for various publications, layout and copy revisions. I also worked with their in house web development team to create a flash game for one of their clients. Occasionally worked on web maintenance or image optimization for client web sites.
One of the primary accounts I worked on at Doner was UPS Stores. I was responsible for turning around between 15-30 pieces a day. These were direct mail and Sunday paper inserts that were built from templates and all had unique elements. Every six weeks or so we would receive a new template from UPSs’ in house creative. These required a complete rebuild as brand standards were rarely followed. I would properly rebuild the template, while maintaining the integrity of the original design. I worked on many other accounts at Doner, and was given the responsibility of choosing the color palette for a Martha Stewart Paint promotion for Spring 2006.
Brought in to design T-shirts and sign collateral for a new brand they were creating called Flavor Oasis, selling high end ice cream downtown Cleveland on Indians game days. I was also brought in to build a series of invite templates for the Charles Schwabb Company as an online database for their branches. I also handled some production duties, copy revisions and photo manipulations for direct mail and annual reports.
Class of 1992
Shortly after graduating high school, I taught a weekly art class focusing on the basic principals of art and color to a small group of home schooled children, ages 7-13. It was a great experience to be a part of teaching something that I was excited about and seeing the kids excited to learn.
